Coherence X overview

Coherence X is a powerful tool that allows you to turn any websites into a chromium-based, native application on your Mac.

Features:
  • Turn any website into a Mac app in seconds. It all starts with picking a name for your app. Next, enter any URL. Coherence X can even grab you an icon. It's that simple.
  • Import extensions and customize your app. Coherence X apps are compatible with most Chrome extensions. Import profiles, set default tabs and system settings, and more.
  • Intelligent Whitelisting. Intelligent Whitelisting allows you to send non-primary and selected URLs to your default browser. It can evenly intelligently ignore sub-domain redirects.
  • Edit created apps. For the first time, Coherence X lets you edit and manage previously created apps. Change the name icon, tabs, mode, and much more.
  • Brave Integration. Coherence X is the only SSB tool that allows you to use the Brave browser as a backend. Get all the features of Chrome in a privacy-centric environment.

Still a buggy mess. I am wondering why a Mac app would not support Safari. The app cannot do something as simple as create an icon without a bug. Their site says: "We are hopeful we will have a proper fix soon."

Hi there, Version 3.1 - 3.1.2 involved a major change in backend changes that caused some momentary stability issues. We continue to improve the experience and I do not believe either of the comments in regards to 3.1.2 ever contacted us so we could try to resolve the issue. I do not understand the 'features they sell you don't work' comment but it we always appreciate being directly informed when there is an issue so we can address it.

Super buggy and unstable. The features they sell you don't work properly and thus it is fake advertising of a half-baked product.

The idea is nice behind this application (and its not-so-bright brother, Unity). However, I have found myself creating tabbed applications time and time again because the settings are not saved. I just deleted an app I have created about 20 times already, added the tabs, logged and quit to see if it would restore credentials. The app launches and it shows ONE empty tab. This is frustrating beyond belief. There is an app in Safari that allows you to create tabs "Tab Space". I think that works better than this apps. I get Coherence and Unity with Setapp, am uninstalling them and never using them again.
